The Subtleties Of January Jones

Courtesy of celebrity blog Just Jared, that is the cover of the November 2009 issue of GQ Magazine featuring "Mad Men" actress January Jones. Okay aside from the blatant obvious of what's going on in the cover to draw your attention to reading about the interview and oggling at the photos inside, Just Jared highlighted some of the things in the interview. I have only seen the very first episode of "Mad Men," and do not remember a lick of it. Like many others who are hearing about how good the show is through word of mouth, I will have to start from the beginning. I just know that the series has made a star in Jon Hamm and introduced us to January Jones. Does the cover make me say, "Well now I should be watching 'Mad Men'?" Well if I were to reason it because January Jones is an attractive woman, then I've missed the point. People should be watching shows like "Mad Men," because it tells an engaging story. However the topic of watching a TV show not because it has good looking people to gawk at but because it tells an engaging story, will be discussed later in time.

The things that Just Jared higlighted in her interview with GQ magazine is that she says, "I like beer, I like football." Also in the highlights and I can only assume that the interview goes into great length, that Jones does enjoy alcohol. I found it to be fascinating that amongst the various musicians/bands that she listens to, one of them is Mos Def. Good on you January Jones for listening to one of the best emcees in hip-hop around.
