This Is The Hundred Days

Previewing The Hundred Days' debut album "Really" and I can picture their concerts being on the high-energy side of things. The name comes from their forming back in 2005, coming together on a sound that incorporated their individual and agreed upon influences to make up their band. This gathering, you guessed it, lasted one hundred days and nights. The result is the kind of rock that you end up tapping your feet to. Their current single "Sex U" comes with a video that features attractive women doing the robot, and then they become mannequins. Like one of the popular Internet phrases goes, I see what they did there. Here is the video for "Sex U."

While checking out their other uploads on YouTube, I came across this acoustic version of their song, "Out Of Nowhere." It's a beautiful song and as a bonus you get to see where the actor Adrian Grenier got the inspiration for his roughian look, in the form of lead vocalist Jonathan Smith.

Those who are fond of The Killers and Franz Ferdinand, and really who isn't, should turn to these guys as not only can their sound can remind you of those bands, but in their own right, The Hundred Days make some good music. If the two clips are just the beginning for this San Francisco quartet then there will be some very good years to come with their music. While "Sex U" will most likely be the one that gets the play on the radio, I liked the song "Girl At A Party" more.

The band is currently on tour in support of their upcoming debut album, "Really" due out on August 16. Check out their website as to where they'll be playing next.
